What can Heidi Klum be thinking as she watches her estranged husband Seal traipse from one TV interview to another, sounding off about the state of his marriage. He obviously is not happy about being accused of having an anger problem so he approaches each interviewer with folded hands and a very soft voice, just oozing charm. He’s told several journalists the same thing: “I’m only talking to YOU because you’ve always been kind to me.” Really. When Seal doesn’t have a record to promote, he despises and CURSES the press. Because of Heidi and the split, reporters are interested in him now and he’s using every trick to promote his album and make himself look like a nice guy. It’s nauseating.

“THE BAD SEED” WAS A SHOCKING MOVIE FOR ITS TIME

Tilda Swinton’s excellent movie “We Need to Talk About Kevin” brought up the infrequently mentioned subject of child psychopaths and reminded many people of the 1956 movie “The Bad Seed” which was extraordinary for it’s time. Patty McCormack made an indelible impression playing polite but demonic 10 year old Rhoda in “The Bad Seed.” She’s still around and was seen fondling semiprecious stones at Crystalarium on Melrose Avenue. Currently, Patty often guests on TV series like “NYPD Blue” or “Grey’s Anatomy” and starred as Pat Nixon in the Nixon/Frost movie in 2008.

MICHAEL JACKSON’S KIDS PRINTS OUTSIDE GRAUMAN’S CHINESE THEATER?

We found it very strange that Michael Jackson’s kids were invited to have their hand and footprints immortalized in cement at a ceremony outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater. This is the first time we’ve heard of RELATIVES substituting for a deceased star. Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, 9, seemed quite happy to do it, but it doesn’t seem right. First of all, Michael was a singer – not a movie star – and a star on Hollywood Blvd seems more appropriate. Also, how weird would it be if Paul Newman or John Wayne’s CHILDREN left their prints instead of the stars themselves?

You’ve gotta love Jean Paul Gaultier for keeping the image of Amy Winehouse alive. Amy was the inspiration for his latest collection because he loved not only her unique style, but the way she put her clothes together and the colors she mixed. Of course the models sashaying down the runway all had towering beehives and black eyeliner and many were puffing on cigarettes. But no beat-up ballet slippers. It made us miss Amy all over again.

There’s been a deafening silence from “Grey’s Anatomy” producers since Katherine Heigl started dropping hints that she’s like to return to the series that made her famous. She left after six seasons to do movies, but Heigl says she remembers the six seasons fondly and would love to continue with her character Dr Izzie Stevens. It sounds like she’s gotten a lot of lame movie scripts and grew to appreciate her TV character. Hopefully, Anatomy producers will bring back Izzie.

DEMI MOORE AND DRUGS: SHE’S NOT THE INNOCENT VICTIM SHE APPEARED TO BE

Wait a minute, the whole Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher divorce story just took a U-turn. TMZ reports that Demi was inhaling nitrous oxide with a friend before she had a seizure and was hospitalized. Nitrous Oxide! This is something bored young teenagers do after graduating from glue-sniffing. For a woman of Demi’s age and accomplishment, it’s mind boggling. What ELSE does she do? Obviously Demi is not the innocent victim of her husband’s infidelity that she appeared to be. Maybe she’s been abusing drugs for a long time and DROVE Ashton to seek companionship elsewhere. He’s probably happy this information surfaced because the press has branded him the villain who caused the split. There’s WAY more to this than meets the eye.

JOAN RIVERS AND CHELSEA HANDLER: SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU!

On one hand we like to think this nasty feud between Joan Rivers and Chelsea Handler is a clever publicity stunt to publicize the E! channel. But if it’s NOT, they should BOTH be ashamed. It’s difficult to tell who’s being more childish: Joan has a hot temper and she described Chelsea to Howard Stern as “a whore who slept her way to the top,” “not funny” and “a drunk.” She sounds jealous and resentful of Chelsea’s success. Chelsea dismissed Joan’s comments “What the f—do I care about Joan Rivers?” as if Joan is of no importance. Joan IS important- she’s a pioneer in the field of female comedians. Yes, she paved the way for women like Chelsea. Chelsea IS funny and she’s the first one to admit she drinks and slept with the boss. Both Chelsea and Joan are demeaning themselves with this petty behavior- don’t they know women must stick together? Get a grip, you two.

Kathy Griffin, 51, opened up a teensy bit about her new boyfriend to Rosie O’Donnell. We caught them together last December 15 leaving Katsuya, but for a CHANGE, Kathy wasn’t so chatty and wouldn’t introduce him. She recently admitted to Rosie that she’s deliberately keeping him under wraps because he’s not fond of the limelight, but we think he better get used to it FAST. Without naming the guy, Kathy described him as “a normal guy with a job” and a “nice person.” Oh yes, and he’s 18 years younger than she is. But we’re happy for her.

Things are still not going well for Kim Kardashian. Ratings for “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” went down and venues aren’t throwing money at her to show up for events. The Kardashian magazine deal fell through and Kim’s products aren’t selling. Perhaps the most painful blow of all is the fact that the very exclusive and celebrity laden Soho House wants nothing to do with her. The ultra private club will not allow Kim to become a member and they quietly discourage members from bringing her as a guest.

HESHE’S HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR A LONG TIME

Our talented friend Stephen Saban at The WOW Report must have shared our youthful passion for comic books because he found this magnificent issue of a real comic called Crimebuster from 1943. We owe our future in journalism to the many hours we spent as a child lost in these illustrated stories. We don’t remember seeing this comic (Little Lulu was our favorite) but coincidentally we did go out trick or treating one Halloween as a half man half woman with a magic marker line dividing the face in half and make up and jewelry on one side, along with a boy and a girl shoe. The body didn’t matter because Chicago was so cold you had to bundle up in a heavy coat on Halloween. Fun times.

The openly gay singer exchanged vows on the beach at the St. Regis resort in Bora Bora on January 12 with his muscular boyfriend of four years, Carlos Gonzalez, a financier from Puerto Rico. According to a friend, the couple shelled out over $10,000 a night for the most luxurious over-water bungalow at the five star resort and exchanged their own vows in a candlelit ceremony on the beach. “It wasn’t legally binding but it was spiritual and personal,” the friend says. “They have twins and in their eyes they’ve been married forever.”

She was described as “desperate” and ”losing her looks” but that’s not the case. She’s in Paris for Fashion Week where she was photographed leaving her hotel looking like a million bucks. Her latest consort P Diddy was nowhere in sight.

Stacy is CRAZY about Cabo so George is in the process of buying a place there where they can spend time together.

At yet another W.E. premier in New York at the Ziegfeld Theater, director Madonna distinguished herself by going retro. She had her hair done in fingerwaves and wore a 1930’s inspired evening gown, similar to the look her characters in the movie have.

WHITNEY HOUSTON MAY BE BROKE BUT SHE’S FILMING A MOVIE

Whitney Houston’s financial status remains a mystery despite RadarOnline’s claims that she’s dead broke. Back in 2006 she was accused of being broke, denied it, and then held a giant garage sale and unloaded all her touring stuff collected through the years. Whitney IS a big spender and drugs are not cheap either. But she’s been through rehab and Whitney is filming “Sparkle” with Jordin Sparks – she plays Jordin’s stage mother. It’s a remake of the 70’s movie starring Irene Cara and Lonette McKee about a 60’s girl group in Detroit. Her people deny that Whitney is hurting money-wise, but we’ve heard that before. Hopefully her new film will set her on the right path.

LOOKS LIKE HEIDI KLUM FINALLY HAD ENOUGH OF SEAL’S BAD DISPOSITION

So Heidi Klum finally came to her senses. We weren’t the least bit surprised to learn that her 48 year old husband Seal’s bad temper was the cause of the split. We always wondered why she put up with his nasty disposition. Years ago we were huge fans of Seal and met him at a Hollywood party. We approached him in a pleasant, polite way but found him to be surprisingly unfriendly and arrogant, with a macho attitude. His poisonous disposition and manners didn’t seem to change throughout the event. We later heard more stories about his negative behavior and were shocked when Heidi Klum married him. The twosome never stopped raving about how wonderful the other one was. (Who were they trying to convince?) Seven years and several kids later, hardworking “Project Runway” host Heidi, 38, is super successful and Seal’s career is stagnant at best. Heidi grew tired of all the angry outbursts and apologies and she’s moving on with her life.

How about some really GOOD news! Kidnap victim Elizabeth Smart, now 24, is engaged and poised to live happily ever after. Elizabeth, who at the age of 14, spent nine torturous months held in captivity by mentally deranged drifter Brian David Mitchell, has fallen in love. He’s Matthew Gilmour, 21, a fellow Morman from Scotland and the two met while both were serving on a church mission to France last year. Matthew has been spending time in the US with Elizabeth and the two made their big announcement this weekend. They’re expected to marry this summer. Sweet.
