MICHAEL JACKSON’S KIDS PRINTS OUTSIDE GRAUMAN’S CHINESE THEATER?
Filed Under: Blanket > Grauman's Chinese Theater > Michael Jackson > Paris Jackson > Prince Jackson
We found it very strange that Michael Jackson’s kids were invited to have their hand and footprints immortalized in cement at a ceremony outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater. This is the first time we’ve heard of RELATIVES substituting for a deceased star. Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, 9, seemed quite happy to do it, but it doesn’t seem right. First of all, Michael was a singer – not a movie star – and a star on Hollywood Blvd seems more appropriate. Also, how weird would it be if Paul Newman or John Wayne’s CHILDREN left their prints instead of the stars themselves?

JENNIFER ANISTON’S HANDPRINTS HAVE DISAPPEARED
Filed Under: Ceremony > Grauman's Chinese Theater > Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston fans needn’t bother looking for her hand and footprints in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater despite the fact that she had a ceremony there in July. The theater owners have increased the number of celebrity handprint ceremonies each year and they’ve run out of space. Fans of Old Hollywood are outraged because Tom Cruise is next to Marilyn Monroe. When Alvin and the Chipmunks had a ceremony, there were MANY complaints from film buffs. Nowadays, having a ceremony doesn’t mean your prints will be installed in the coveted forecourt of the theater. Jennifer’s cement block along with Mickey Rourke’s and many others are in limbo. The theater owners are mulling future placement.

MICKEY ROURKE AND ERIC ROBERTS 27 YEARS LATER
Filed Under: Eric Roberts > Grauman's Chinese Theater > Mickey Rourke > The Pope of Greenwich Village
Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts have been pals since they filmed “The Pope of Greenwich Village” (a great movie) in which they played two losers, back in 1984. (top photo) When Mickey gave his Best Actor acceptance speech at The Independent Spirit Awards when he won for “The Wrestler” in 2009, he implored Hollywood moguls to hire his buddy Eric Roberts and give him a chance for a comeback. Eric showed up for Mickey’s hand and footprint ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theater this week.

KOBE BRYANT DOESN’T BELONG ON THE HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME
Filed Under: Basketball > Crimes and Misdemeanors > Grauman's Chinese Theater > Hollywood > Kobe Bryant > Walk of Fame
A great injustice against Hollywood has been perpetrated by the owner of Grauman’s Chinese Theater or the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce - they allowed basketball player Kobe Bryant to add his handprints to the cement in front of Grauman’s . HELLO – Grauman’s and the Walk of Fame are intended for performers, writers, movie makers, and people in show business! What the heck is going ON here? Kobe is NOT an actor. Why should his prints share space with Clark Gable, Gary Cooper, and Bette Davis? Wouldn’t his prints be more appropriate outside of the Staples Center? It’s a travesty and a crime.

CHER WAS UPSTAGED BY CHILEAN MINERS
Filed Under: Cher > Chilean Miners > Grauman's Chinese Theater

Photos via: Daily Mail
It was quite a ceremony- fans gathered on Hollywood Boulevard as Cher got her handprints in the much desired cement outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater. She installed her hand and footprints not far from Clark Gable’s, and sprinkled her wet cement with a poof of gold dust for added character. Just then, a double decker tour bus drove by and WHO happened to be on the top level but the 33 Chilean miners! Upon seeing Cher, they screamed and hollered and disrupted the event when all attention turned to them. Cher got a kick out of them and the only drawback to the occasion was the fact that Cher’s dress was so short her blue underwear was frequently visible.
