There’s been a deafening silence from “Grey’s Anatomy” producers since Katherine Heigl started dropping hints that she’s like to return to the series that made her famous. She left after six seasons to do movies, but Heigl says she remembers the six seasons fondly and would love to continue with her character Dr Izzie Stevens. It sounds like she’s gotten a lot of lame movie scripts and grew to appreciate her TV character. Hopefully, Anatomy producers will bring back Izzie.

We were RIGHT when we assumed “Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl might be expecting because of 3 observations in a recent photo. She was sucking on a lollipop instead of smoking, she wore a loose dress, and she and her husband Josh Kelley were in a baby store purchasing a stroller. The twist is that she’s adopting! Katherine and Josh are expecting a little girl from Korea this week whom they’ve already named Leigh. Katherine has always liked kids better than she liked the idea of being pregnant. Hopefully she’s stocked up on lollipops to avoid second hand smoke.

Looks like Sandra Oh has already made friends with Kevin McKidd, the new cast member on “Grey’s Anatomy.” They were seen chatting between scenes on location in downtown LA. McKidd plays an army surgeon who arrives at the hospital fresh from Iraq. Yet another UK actor passing for American. Do American actors do the same thing as frequently in England?

We get the distinct feeling that Patrick Dempsey is more comfortable in an auto repair shop that a hospital. He LOVES his rides. The Grey’s Anatomy doc waited patiently at Heritage Classic repair shop in Beverly Hills while his vintage grey convertible (don’t know what it is) was diagnosed with a top that refused to go up and down.

Katherine Heigl kept her mother Nancy company while she got a pedicure and afterward the two had lunch at Vermont in Los Feliz. Can you see the family resemblance? Heigl’s come a long way. Ten years ago the “Grey’s Anatomy” star was filming “Bride of Chucky.” Incidentally, we agree with everything she said about “Knocked Up” being sexist. Katherine skipped dessert and fired up a cigarette.

The honeymoon is over! Seems like just last week Katherine Heigl got married to Josh Kelley in Utah, and already she’s put it behind her and moved into serious decorating mode. She was spotted today crossing Robertson Blvd with a can of paint that she intended to match up to fabrics and furniture. Later she went into a trance at a furniture store in Beverly Hills while trying to make big decisions.

Grey’s Anatomy doc Patrick Dempsey is working out like a fiend at Easton gym on Beverly Blvd. He’s been seen sweating with his trainer doing cardio and serious weights for two or three hours EVERY afternoon. This is the same no frills old-time gym that Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire work out at and nobody pays any attention. Observers say Dr McDreamy has doubled his workouts and we figure that means he’s getting ready for some kind of skin revealing scene on the show. A hot love scene with Meredith, perhaps?
