Wait a minute, the whole Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher divorce story just took a U-turn. TMZ reports that Demi was inhaling nitrous oxide with a friend before she had a seizure and was hospitalized. Nitrous Oxide! This is something bored young teenagers do after graduating from glue-sniffing. For a woman of Demi’s age and accomplishment, it’s mind boggling. What ELSE does she do? Obviously Demi is not the innocent victim of her husband’s infidelity that she appeared to be. Maybe she’s been abusing drugs for a long time and DROVE Ashton to seek companionship elsewhere. He’s probably happy this information surfaced because the press has branded him the villain who caused the split. There’s WAY more to this than meets the eye.

BRODY JENNER SPLIT WITH AVRIL LAVIGNE BECAUSE HE “WANTS TO WORK?”

How ironic is it that Brody Jenner, 26, and Avril Lavigne, 25, split up because HE “wants to work?” Brody has been flying all over the world with Avril since she released her last album and she likes it that way. (Above, they’re in Paris) Brody, who has never had a visible means of support beyond his parents, likes to dabble in reality shows, but has little ambition beyond that. You’d think he’d thrilled to share Avril’s comfortable rock star lifestyle. But no, he wants to be as famous as she is, and figures TV is the way to do it. He actually had to turn down offers to appear on reality shows because he was out of town with Avril and that rubbed him the wrong way. So they’re either taking a break or it’s over. He still might come to his senses.

WHY JESSICA LANGE FINALLY GOT AROUND TO MENTIONING SHE IS NOW SINGLE

Why did it take so long for Jessica Lange to mention the fact that she and her longtime companion Sam Shepard were no longer together? The couple hooked up in 1982 and have two grown children, Hannah, 25, and Samuel, 24, – they were rumored to have an off and on relationship and finally called it quits a couple of years ago. Jessica, 62, is starring on the FX series American Horror Story and she’s nominated for a Golden Globe. Her friends pushed her to go public with the split because Jessica would like to meet someone and her friends pointed out that “no one will ask you out if they think your are still with Sam.” So Jessica made the announcement, hoping that someone will finally ask her for a date!

Not again. Jennifer Love Hewitt, 32, is down in the dumps again after splitting with her latest boyfriend Jarod Einsohn. They’ve been tweeting “It’s been nice knowing you” messages to each other. Jennifer has had a difficult time finding Mr Right. She split with her fiancee Ross McCall, Jamie Kennedy, and Alex Beh in the past couple of years. Judging by the happy photo on the left taken at the Breaking Dawn premier versus the sad photo from Friday, she wears her heart on her sleeve.

Just because Avatar star Zoe Saldana, 33, is dressed up and out with an unidentified man doesn’t necessarily mean she found another guy so soon. Zoe and her boyfriend of eleven years, actor Keith Britton, very recently called off their engagement and relationship. Judging by their body language, the guy above is most likely her publicist or agent. He’s polite and concerned about her well-being, but there’s no affection there. Zoe and her companion left an event on Robertson and crossed the street for dinner at The Ivy.

It’s no surprise that Chelsea Handler and her boyfriend hotel mogul Andre Balazs have gone their separate ways. Andre has a lot in common with George Clooney – he was married once, but prefers being single and socializing with the world’s most attractive women. And like George, he’s charming and generous and is considered a “great catch.” Uma Thurman dated him for a few years before she realized he was not marriage material. Chelsea, 36, dated Andre for almost a year so it was a long run but never had much of a future. We have a feeling they will sneakily get together a few more times before the split is final.

JONAH HILL DROPPED FORTY POUNDS AND HIS GIRLFRIEND

We ARE disappointed to hear that ”Moneyball” star Jonah Hill has not only pared off forty pounds (actually it looks like more) but also split with his girlfriend of three years, Jordan Klein, according to Life & Style. They went to high school together and Jordan loved him before he got rich and slim. Above, the couple is pictured at the premier of “Get Him To The Greek” in 2010 when Jonah was hefty, and recently. Some people wondered if Jonah’s movie roles would dry up because chubby guys are funnier than skinny guys, but he has “The Sitter” coming out in December and two more films after that.

WILL SMITH AND JADA PINKETT: LEADING SEPARATE LIVES?

According to the Enquirer, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett are on the verge of breaking up (“they’re headed for a $300 million divorce”) and they’re living in separate houses. Will HAS been a little put off by Jada’s obsessive desire to have a career as successful as his, whether it’s in movies or music. Scientology certainly won’t keep them together – the cult doesn’t mind when members divorce because usually both the husband and wife go on to recruit new members for the church. A spy reported to us that Will partied at Soho House Friday night with a bunch of buddies and it was definitely a “boys night out.” The guys had numerous bottles on the table and got louder and rowdier as the night went on. Jada was nowhere to be seen.

KAT VON D WISED UP ABOUT JESSE JAMES BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE

We had to laugh when we heard that Kat Von D has tweeted that she is “no longer with Jesse (James) and that’s ALL I’d like to share!” (Kat and Sandra Bullock’s cast-off Jesse James have been engaged since January.) Obviously she doesn’t want anybody asking questions about exactly WHAT split up the happy couple, but the clues are very evident. Jesse claims the distance between them was “just too much.” (He lives in Austin, Kat lives in LA.) Pardon us, but didn’t Jesse the cheater use that SAME EXCUSE when Sandra was on location working? Looks like Kat caught Jesse in the act of rebuilding his ego with another woman. Our verdict: Kat has dodged a bullet, and she’s starting to think that maybe Sandra was RIGHT.

He just confirmed to Playboy that he has split up with his girlfriend of five years, actress Ahna O’Reilly, 26, but this is the first most people have heard of her. Franco, 33, did a good job of keeping Ahna undercover all those years – he rarely spoke of her and photos of them together are rarely published. Franco says they lived together in Los Angeles, but the romance fizzled when he moved to New York to study and Ahna stayed in LA. Distance didn’t make their hearts grow fonder. He’s busy studying for his PHD in English at Yale. He sounds like not such a great boyfriend, anyway….

Jennifer had gotten Ben Affleck’s stripper “hint’ and left him, and she confided to friends that Marc was “the best sex I ever had!” There’s no doubt that Marc has long been a ladies man and we just bet Jennifer caught him fooling around. Keep in mind Jen and Marc routinely record and perform together, are partners in several businesses together, and were planning to do a TV show together. It won’t be an easy split.

GEORGE CLOONEY: ALL HE WANTS IS TO REMAIN SINGLE

It’s high time that women started LISTENING to George Clooney. Elisabetta Canalis is just the latest in a long list of attractive women (who resemble each other) who didn’t believe George when he gently informed them that he had no intention of getting married. Clooney repeats this mantra in almost every interview, just in case someone missed it. George’ s relationships all seem to last around two years – that’s when the girls start wanting a commitment that he refuses to give them. And they all end the same. The girls have achieved a certain amount of fame and they go back to their former careers, with a nicer bank balance and maybe a new condo. George is always generous and they don’t bad-mouth him. Now that it’s over, those ridiculous gay rumors about George begin again – just because he doesn’t want to get married, doesn’t mean he’s gay! (Why would all these women want to marry him if he was gay?) There are definitely more two year relationships in his future.

BRADLEY COOPER AND RENEE ZELLWEGER: NICE GIRLS FINISH LAST

How sad to hear that Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper ended their two year relationship – and they never even got engaged! They said wonderful things about each other when they started dating, and kept most of their romance under wraps. Renee was always there for her man – when his father died she dropped everything to comfort him. And she was a good friend to his mother. Renee did a lot of the dirty work, helping Bradley refurbish his house, which she eventually moved into. She had high hopes for a life with Brad. Bradley’s career is blossoming – did his ego expand to fast? Did his “friendship” with Jessica Biel, also recently single, accelerate the split? We do feel bad for Renee, who tried so hard – maybe too hard.

He’s been restless for quite awhile and Jessica didn’t get the hint. Last June we wrote about Justin at a Lakers game desperately trying to get the phone number of a pretty Laker girl who miraculously turned him down FLAT because she knew he had a girlfriend. Last fall he was suspected of fooling around with Olivia Munn, and we’re thinking he probably did. Justin’s mother Lynn urged him to end his relationship with Cameron Diaz, and we wonder if she was also involved in this Jessic Biel split. And does Justin have another athletic girl waiting in the wings? Could be.

LAURIE METCALF’S HUSBAND MATT ROTH IS NOW FLIPPING BURGERS

Here’s an odd and convoluted piece of information. Laurie Metcalf (she’s most famous for playing Roseanne’s sister Jackie) has split with her husband Matt Roth (he appeared on both Roseanne and Desperate Housewives with Laurie as her husband.) Matt went off and started up his own food truck business called “The Patty Wagon.” He cooks up and serves gourmet grass-fed beef burgers (delicious!) while his new girlfriend takes the orders. Back in November when Black Swan was starting to make waves, we expressed our concern over the fact that Mila Kunis had not been seen with Macaulay Culkin for a long time. When they lived in Los Angeles they were inseparable and frequently spotted in our local supermarket. (Once they were seen together devouring a roasted chicken in the parking lot.) After Mila went to New York to film Black Swan, Mac followed but things were never the same. Mila has become a big movie star and Mac’s career is still stalled. They no longer have much in common. Their sweet romance didn’t work any more. Sad, but that’s how life is.

MID CENTURY MODERN CASUALTY TO JOHANSSON REYNOLDS DIVORCE

It appears that Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds’ marriage was doing just fine in August because they bought a beautiful restored mid-century modern house with walls of glass in Los Feliz for 2.8 million dollars. The 1960’s 2835 sq ft dream house was designed by Buff & Hensman and originally featured four bedrooms but they had been redesigned into two larger bedrooms. That pretty much leaves out the immediate prospect of kids – which was supposedly one of the marriage problems. Scarlett has a history of bad real estate luck – she sold her last house at a 3 million dollar loss.

Scarlett Johansson has learned the hard way that being married to The Sexiest Man Alive isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. (Jennifer Aniston can vouch for this fact also.) The actors claim the bustup is due to the fact that they never saw each other because they were always working. (In fact, it IS difficult to find a recent photo of them together.) Didn’t they think about this job situation before they walked down the aisle?

JESUS LUZ HAS A BETTER LIFE, THANKS TO MADONNA

Splitting with Madonna wasn’t the worst thing that could happen to Jesus Luz. Things are looking up on many fronts. First of all Jesus, 24, is in New York getting lots of modeling and DJ jobs, since he became something of a household name. Of course, there are plenty of women who want what Madonna had so his social life is booming. Perhaps best of all, Jesus has learned to enjoy food again – Madonna ran a strict macrobiotic household – and Jesus almost forgot how delicious food can be.
