The worst nightmare of Whitney Houston’s family has come true. A photo of her in her open casket is on the cover of The Enquirer. (Why the family didn’t have a closed casket after the hotel photos leaked is a mystery to us, but…) Of course this appalling photo raises the question of WHO DID IT? Who betrayed the grieving family and sold this photo? Everyone is pointing a finger at each other, but let’s consider the facts. It’s most likely someone rather hard up for money. Whitney’s questionable brother? We doubt if the culprit is actually family. We deduce that an entourage member who is suddenly completely jobless and without resources, is guilty. We wonder if this cover will sell like Elvis did…

The insanely popular Royal couple is clad in their underwear, and children or adult fans are provided with paper cut-outs of their best-known outfits from special occasions. Looks like a fun gift – and only $10 at Dover Publications.

We are SO upset to hear that Sacha Baron Cohen has been banned from the Oscars! According to Deadline.com, Cohen was expected to attend with the cast of his movie Hugo but the Academy has pulled his tickets even though he’s an Academy member! The reason is that Cohen submitted a proposal to the Academy that he walk the red carpet in full costume as his title character in The Dictator, with the intention of donning a tuxedo after that for the show. The straitlaced Academy didn’t just TURN DOWN the idea, they banned him altogether. Must this dull award show be taken so SERIOUSLY?

Corey Feldman picked up a pizza to go at Mulberry Street Pizzeria in Beverly Hills and was quite friendly when he was stopped by a street magician and asked to pick a card. Corey happily chatted with fans despite the fact that his pie cooled off. He was recently bumped off the UK show “Dancing On Ice” when Charlene Tilton outskated him, but the viewers made fun of the long strand of hair he’s been cultivating that hangs in his face. He may or may not, have finally cut it off.

And now, something for our feminist readers…have you heard of The Bechdel Test for Women in Movies? This video test examines the 2011 Oscar nominated movies to see how they measure up in regard to women’s representation in film. It’s quite startling how far women have NOT come in regard to relevance in films in spite of the fact that they make up way more than half of the movie-going audience. The intro in the video is a bit tedious but hang in there – the results are disturbing.

We just saw this hilarious video of Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend (and ”Wanderlust” costar) Justin Theroux break dancing on the Ellen show which airs Wednesday. We’re not going to miss it- and you will clearly see why Jen is attracted to this guy!

We didn’t know Whitney Houston was a teen model. It’s 1981 and for some reason this magazine cover has a Norman Rockwell innocent quality. Whitney was an up and coming fresh young model and she turned 18 on the day she posed for this photograph. She was one of the first black models to grace a Seventeen cover.

If Melissa Gorga is as wealthy as she wants us to think, why did she take a job promoting vodka? “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star lives in one of the biggest mansions in New Jersey and spends tons of money on clothes and frivolities. She says her very successful husband Joe (who installed a recording studio in the house for his wife) is a property developer who converts warehouses into condos. So we were surprised to learn that Melissa was making a personal appearance at our local Gelson’s supermarket in West Hollywood “signing autographs and talking about Voli light vodka.” Shoppers who saw her there reported that she was “prettier and smaller than she looks on TV.” One would think a wife with a house that opulent would be above supermarket demonstrations, but you never know!

Howard Stern reported for work in Los Angeles to start taping auditions for “America’s Got Talent” and he got a rousing ovation from the audience – considerably more than his fellow judges, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel. He proved to be a merciless judge, but not without compassion. Stern tried to let down the awful acts gently with a joke or anecdote, and he felt particularly bad about disappointing child contestants. Howard absolutely cleaned up his usually off-color act but managed to retain his smart observations and sense of humor so his fans were not disappointed. After all, he has to earn that 15 million dollar salary.

We’ve always insisted that Rihanna and Chris Brown had a secret agreement that they would get back together after a sufficient amount of time passed since that horrible beating in 2009. Both of their handlers pointed out that they could lose enormous amounts of money for endorsements etc if they reunited too soon and lost their credibility. Chris had to rebuild his shattered image and Rihanna had to set an example for battered women. Plus the judge made it impossible for Chris to be in the same vicinity as Rihanna until recently. Three years have passed and Chris attended Rihanna’s birthday party and now they’ve recorded two songs together. Coincidentally, the model Chris has been dating says they have an “open relationship.” Inch by inch and step by step, Rihanna and Chris are getting closer….But Rihanna beware: he’s still volatile and arrogant and shows no indication that he learned his lesson.
